Jiménez Deredia was born in Heredia, Costa Rica on October the 4th, 1954. In 1972 he became a Bachelor in sculpture in the Castella Conservatory, San José, Costa Rica. In 1978 he received his diploma from the Accademia delle Belle Arti of Carrara, Italy. In 1980 he studied architecture in the University of Florence, Italy. And nowadays he works and lives between Costa Rica and Italy.
