• Dunia is an Industrial Engineer graduated from the University of Costa Rica with professional experience in the field. 

• She studied Fashion Design in The Fashion Institute of Technology - F.I.T. -, New York, USA. 

• Participated in seminaries, forums, courses, and other activities organized by: The Business Industry Development Center in New York; the Gene Art Organization and The Enterprise Center of the Fashion Institute of Technology -F.I.T., all of them located on New York.

• Worked on the Organization 7th on Sixth for the designers Lawrence Steele, Mickael Kors, B. Mickael, Calvin Klein and Vivi Tamm. Also at VIBE Magazine.

• Worked assisting the New York designers: Vilma Maré and Akemi Sone.

• Worked as an independent designer in 1998, using her DeBeGe label. Her philosophy is to design dresses for the contemporary woman, incorporating in each design an own and creative style, with versatility, adaptability and hoping to satisfy each necessity.

• She has presented her own designs in: Animal Attraction, by the MBW Organization, New York City; Styles for the New Milenium, Gene Art Organization, New York City; Springpectacular'99, Long Island City College, Queens, New York; One Step Beyond, Turning Point in Fashion 2000, Essex County College, Newark, New Jersey; Construction for the Anatomy, Architecture School, University of Costa Rica.

• Dunia was a designer finalist in Animal Attraction of the MBW Organization.

• Her designs have been sold in Na An Consigment Store in Soho, New York, and she has an alliance store GTM 7th Avenue, San José.
